ReachPlus Alerts - Minor Release
This minor release of ReachPlus Alerts (Advanced) has the following features/bug fixes:
- Approximately 20kb long messages can be sent to the ReachPlus Alerts (Advanced) Clients. The option is off by default. Users who are interested in this feature can use the Options dialog to turn this feature on. In some instances messages might get truncated when they are transmitted via the Windows Messenger Service.
- Hyperlinks in Alert messages should open in a separate window. In previous releases, clicking on a link was resulting in an existing Internet Explorer window being hijacked. This has now been fixed.
- ReachPlus Alerts (Advanced) now has support for the French language. ReachPlus Alerts (Advanced) installation packages now ask the user to choose a language of choice
- In earlier releases ReachPlus Alerts Clients contacted the updates website on startup once - even if the "Check for Updates" option was cleared. This has now been fixed.
- A secondary ReachPlus Alerts (Advanced) Server can now be specified for ReachPlus Alerts Clients. This server should be offline all the time and should only be brought up when the primary server goes down. The clients alternate between primary and secondary servers whenever they are unable to connect but do not check if the last server they were connected to is online again (it's not automatic). This feature requires that only one server should be online at all times.
