With ReachPlus Alerts (Basic) you can send messages to any Windows XP, Windows 2000 or NT 4.0 user without any modification or addition to the user machine. For Windows 9x or Windows ME, users will need to invoke the ‘Win Popup’ facility on their machines. However, ReachPlus Alerts (Basic) does not require any third party tool at the user end. The optional ReachPlus Alerts (Basic) client runs on all Windows platforms and supports notifications in different fonts, colors and sizes. ReachPlus Alerts (Basic ) Server is a standalone tool which is installable on Windows XP, 2000 or NT 4.0. It has an intuitive interface which allows you to define recipients by their IP addresses instead of by their domain names or user names. You can keep a list of IP addresses to define certain groups (e.g. all those on the 4th floor). Whenever you need to broadcast a message to all or some, all you have to do is type the message and then either:

- define multiple IP addresses which are not in sequence or
- pick up multiple IP addresses from a pre-defined list or
